Singing Lessons with Musicality and Confidence | University of Exeter

I've always loved singing and performing and have been entertaining audiences for as long as I can remember. I am an experienced acoustic solo performer and have also been a member of choirs (both accompanied and Acapella). At university I conducted an Acapella choir and created my own harmonies and mash ups which included contemporary pop songs from artists like The Beatles, One Direction and Bruno Mars. I have learnt a lot of different vocal training techniques which can support you to care for and get the most out of your voice. My expertise lies in supporting you to build your confidence, find your style as a performer and have a lot of fun in the process. Let's hit those high notes together and get you from singing in the shower to singing on stage!

I teach through demonstrations and asking you to repeat my example, using vocal warm ups etc. If you have a particular repertoire of songs you'd like to work on I can support you with that or I can suggest pieces that would fit your preferred style and vocal range. My experience as a singer ranges from pop, rock, country and folk music to songs from musical theatre. I can accompany your singing on ukulele or we can sing Acapella. My teaching style revolves around building confidence through musicality, patience and encouragement. I aim to keep my sessions as interactive, engaging and entertaining as possible and tailor my lessons to suit each student's diverse and individual needs. My aim is for my students to have fun whilst I help them to achieve their performance and singing goals.
