About your violin teacher
Born in Jeonju South Korea, violinist Dayeon Jang started playing the violin at the age of six after watching a violinist on TV. Dayeon graduated with a Bachelor's degree with classical violin and music education from Sookmyung Women's University with the guidance of Eun Kyu Yoon. She did her master's degree in classical violin at Manhattan School of Music under Lucie Robert. In addition to her solo performing, Dayeon is active as a chamber musician, orchestra musician and educator. As an orchestral musician, she is a section violinist at Helena Symphony Orchestra from 2025, New World Symphony Orchestra from 2024 to present and National Repertory Orchestra fellow. My specialities include bow techniques, ear training, music theory, left hand technique and more. I offer personalized learning experiences in classical violin. I believe guiding students to think and helping them to find their creativity and positivity through music is important to be a great teacher. My goal is to create supportive and safe environment for the students to find themselves to be confident. I am a dedicated violin instructor for 6years. I have taught students with various age ranges from kids to adults at various skill levels from beginners to advanced. My tutoring approach blends music theory, scale, techniques, solo performing, chamber music, orchestra music, pop songs, movie songs, classical music, church music and more genre. I use different materials to enhance your skills and to make the lesson smoother. For instance, using the video from YouTube and investigate the performing posture or the sound, music app(tuning, metronome). These will improve your violin performance and practice skills.
