Singing Lessons with Nottinghamshire Torch SCITT Educator: Engaging & Expressive

My approach to teaching singing is rooted in building strong, healthy vocal technique while nurturing each student’s unique voice and artistic identity. Drawing from my background in Musical Theatre and my qualifications as a Performing Arts teacher, I use a structured yet flexible method tailored to the individual needs, goals, and learning styles of each student. Lessons begin with a focus on vocal warm-ups, breath control, and posture to develop core technique and vocal health. From there, we explore repertoire that suits the student’s range, interests, and aspirations—whether it’s musical theatre, pop, classical, or contemporary styles. I integrate performance coaching into my lessons, helping students not only sing with precision but also connect emotionally with their material and command the stage with confidence. I emphasize expression, storytelling, and presence—skills that are essential for both auditions and live performances. Above all, my teaching space is supportive, encouraging, and inclusive. I believe every voice matters and every student deserves the chance to grow, express themselves, and enjoy the process of learning to sing
