Biology class overview
I use science curriculum as a way for people to understand the vital importance of the natural world. In order to make this an applicable understanding I find it necessary to bring the world around us, all that can be touched, seen, experienced, into the classroom. This means examining our everyday experiences using the content we explore to make connections! My classroom utilizes virtual interactive tools, in depth readings, current events, manipulative and lab work (hands on or virtual) to bring science to the forefront of our minds. Despite these methods, I also understand the importance of test preparation and language acquisition in the realm of science. For this reason I also put an emphasis on practice test and vocabulary exploration in my classroom. With all this said, my main goal is to adjust to the needs of the student and work towards a learning methodology suited to them.
