Singing Lessons at Irish World Academy of Music and Dance

Tara is a versatile vocalist with a BA degree in Voice from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. With experience as a music teacher and facilitator, as well as a background in live performance and backing vocals, Tara brings a dynamic and skilled approach to vocal instruction. Tara most recently performed as lead vocalist with First Performers in Siblu Villages in France and with Terra da Perfeicao in Albufeira. She currently performs in multiple venues across London and has been working with cutting-edge, jazz & pop, a capella group ‘Camden Voices’. She began performing at a very young age and fostered her love for singing through musical theatre and choirs as a child. This gave her the inspiration to teach singing to young children. She has since taught singing and music to all ages - most recently with Pathways 2 Performance, providing workshops and performance opportunities for young women in the performing arts. She also teaches 1:1 singing lessons with Cherry Pie Music & does private 1:1 in person tutoring.

In my personalized tutoring approach, I emphasize motivation, musicality, breathing techniques, engagement, rhythm and timing to deliver dynamic and effective singing lessons. I specialise in teaching various singing styles including pop, musical theatre, jazz, and folk to students of all levels. I leverage a wide array of tech tools for online learning such as interactive platforms, video tutorials, audio recordings and virtual sheet music. My strength lies in creating engaging and interactive lessons that cater to different learning styles, ensuring that each student progresses and excels in their vocal abilities. With a curriculum tailored to suit individual needs, I foster a supportive environment for students, guiding them towards vocal proficiency and confidence in their singing skills.
