I'm Tobias Wooloughan, a guitar tutor with a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance and Technology and I am about to graduate from the prestigious Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts university, which was co-founded by Sir Paul McCartney. While I may be new to formal tutoring, my love for music is very strong and sharing my knowledge and passion with others brings me joy. I will help you achieve your musical goals by teaching you your favourite songs, chords progressions and techniques of how to play consistently well. I have a Grade 5 music theory certificate from ABRSM with a distinction grade, so I can also level up your music theory knowledge. I will demonstrate different ways of practicing and will help you create a structured daily routine. My tailored lessons cater to adults, beginners, kids and intermediate players across electric, acoustic, and bass guitar. I will provide you with lessons that are both engaging and effective

My teaching approach is technique focused, with a creative blend of theory integration and expressive musicality. I utilise resources such as backing tracks and online tabs and my methodology strengths lie in providing engaging and interactive lessons that cater to individual learning styles, ensuring student access and progress. I will answer any questions you may have in regards to what you want to learn, whether it be that you want to understand the relationship between chords, or how yto to play a particular solo or how to play with consistent precision. I provide students with a very strong understanding of the specific aspects they need to focus on in order to achieve their musical goals and get to where they want to be. Due to my range of understanding in different style of music such as contemporary pop, funk and jazz I am able to be more specific with what I teach.
