About your guitar teacher
Music has been my life since I was a child. I have been teaching for more than 25 years now with the same passion as when I started. For me teaching is about creativity and creating an environment where your unique and individual voice can come out, whatever the instrument. I have started out as a drummer in progressive metal bands and my curiosity and love for sound has led me towards learning the guitar, bass guitar, Middle Eastern and Indian rhythms and instruments, music production from tape to digital, electro-acoustic experiments with noise and feedback, synthesisers, piano, music composition, jazz harmony, minimalism, oud, saz, lute. I love sampling and programming and have spent maybe more time than I should on DAWs. I have qualified as a music teacher in London (Qualified Teacher Status) in 2009 where I continue to work on one to one and seminars.

Guitar lessons overview
Teaching is about learning and learning is about teaching. The main focus is to develop the respect for the instrument, its design and history, its strengths and challenges, the main messengers of that story. And very important: why you want to pick up that instrument? I believe that music has the unique ability to help you create your own world within the sound, the riff, the rhythm, the solo that makes you want to pick up the guitar. I have no teaching style except respect and patience. The two things I look out for are comfort and control. How to break things down so you are learning in a way that is built to make you more comfortable and have more control over an idea that could take one or many more steps but in a way that you can build on it. There is no one way to play the guitar or any instrument and there is more than one way to teach that instrument. We can find that together.
