Hello, my name is Nicholas. As a classically trained vocalist, I help students unlock their unique sound with a focus on breath control, tone clarity, and expressive phrasing. My teaching style blends classical voice training with practical musicianship, offering guidance in accompaniment and song writing for those interested in expanding their skills. Whether you're preparing for auditions, working on repertoire, or just starting your musical journey, each lesson is shaped to meet your personal goals and musical background. I draw on years of experience in both education and performance to create a supportive, focused learning environment. My students gain not just technical skill, but a deeper understanding of music and their place in it. Many have grown into confident musicisnd, applying their training in diverse settings. With a passion for classical technique and a flexible, student-centered approach, I aim to help each learner find their voice—literally and artistically.

As a baritone trained in the bel canto, I focus on helping the student create the most powerful and most free sound possible. We use the voice to it's fullest potential by strengthening it in a way that reduce tension and allows it to fulfill its natural range with elegance and control. For a beginner, we would focus on easy melodies of folk or classical traditions. Once a baseline of skill is established, we can move to other styles as it is easier to go from classical to contemporary or musical theater than vice versa. We then would move into more advanced literature, and perhaps branch out into other styles per the student's interest. We look at expression, historically appropriate interpretation, and working in other languages such as German or Italian.
