Piano Lessons with Theory Integration and Empathetic Teaching Style

My name is Christopher Singleton Sr. and I have over 3 years of experience of directly making the piano more accessible to students. Indirectly, I've been making it more accessible through my children's book, "Chris & Frankie: Intro To Our Ebony & Ivory Keys"! My approach focuses on ear training, improv, chord theory and more! Currently I visit schools doing workshops for Pre-K-5th grade students. My unique approach allows learners to become more familiar with piano geography as well as the lines and spaces of the treble and bass clef. Piano Day is the 88th day of the year, and I did a Pop Up workshop on that day this year! Recently one of the children that I met on that day saw me at her school. She let me know that she remembered the difference between my piano characters Chris & Frankie. That means that she can find C as well as F on the piano very quickly.

I utilize a variety of tech tools from Garage Band, Yamaha Chord Tracker, Flat.io, & BeesKeys. My personalized tutoring approach fosters a deep understanding of music while instilling a passion for learning, ensuring that every student achieves their musical goals with confidence and proficiency. Sometimes my lessons may involve song sheets that I created. The song sheets are designed in such a way that parents can help teach their child the piano.
