The class focused on piano exercises and technique. The student practiced scales, learned a new warm-up exercise (Hannon), and worked on the melody and chords of a song in D major. The homework is to practice the Hannon exercise, scales in G and D major, and the melody and chords of the song, gradually increasing speed and combining the hands.

The Student practiced hand coordination exercises, reviewed chords (C and G7), and began learning the intro to "Let It Be" with a focus on left-hand chord progressions. The Tutor assigned practice on the last three measures of a song and the left-hand chords of "Let It Be," while also introducing the C major scale. Future sessions will include branching out into different musical styles like jazz and pop.

The Student learned C and G major scales and arpeggios, along with related finger techniques. The student also worked on the "Can-Can", learned about key signatures and bass clef notation, and was introduced to D major, G, and C chords. The student will continue practicing the scales, chords, and the "Can-Can", and will also write the notes on the sheet music to assist in learning.
