Hi! I'm Phil, a guitar teacher! I offer personalised lessons in electric, acoustic, classical, and bass guitar. I specialise in rock and metal styles, with a strong focus on getting the most out of my students through improving their technique and musical expression. I've always been a musician, with piano as my first instrument - but I first started playing guitar when I was just 16 years old, after falling in love with rock and metal. I've been playing now for over 25 years! I studied music at both a music college and university, and I've never stopped learning. I first started teaching friends and family over 15 years ago, and decided that I enjoyed it so much, I should do it as a job! I've helped lots of beginners to get started and fall in love with playing guitar, and also helped advanced players really focus on improving their technique and musical creativity. I'll also cover music theory - but I promise not to bore you with this either! Instead, you'll learn music theory in a fun, simple way that enhances your ability and creativity.
