Singing Lessons with Music Theory and Vocal Training at New York University

Hello, there! My name is Vicky Fleisch, I am a graduate from New York University, where I studied Vocal Performance and Teacher Education with a concentration in Music Theatre. I have been performing for the last decade and spend every moment I can training my own voice and teaching styles. For the last 4 years, I have been studying pedagogy and working with students from ages 5-60 in private lessons and group settings. I specialize in musical theatre styles, as well as rock and pop singing. A huge part of my philosophy is to learn from what you love. When you bring in songs that you enjoy, that is where the most fun and most learning take place. I teach vocals through vocal warm ups, proper technique, breaking, pitch corrected, and ear training. I love helping people find their voice, and love their sound. Singing is the most freeing feeling and I am excited to help you unlock all of your potential!

My teaching method is based on confidence, engaging material, and unlocking your full sound. I find that when students build their lesson around what they enjoy and want to learn, they learn the most and feel their best. In my private lessons, I specialize in musical theatre stylings, but also well versed in pop and rock music. I incorporate proper breathing techniques, vowel modification, vocal placement, and confidence experiences to fully unlock your voice and what they sounds like. I tailor my lessons to your specific goals and work a personalize curriculum around that. I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds and found that each person have an individual approach to what their goals are. I am determined and excited to discover what that is for you and create a plan to bring that to life. You are capable of anything you put your mind to!
