My teaching style is student-centered, supportive, and grounded in real-world application. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to meet individual needs, goals, and learning styles. Whether you're a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner, I break concepts down in a way that’s clear, practical, and engaging. For vocal lessons, I combine technique (breath support, placement, range-building) with emotional expression and performance skills, using exercises that are both fun and effective. I help students connect with their voice through proven methods from classical training to contemporary styles like pop, R&B, and musical theatre. We focus on healthy technique and artistry. For songwriting, I teach students how to write lyrics with intention, craft compelling melodies, and structure songs that connect with listeners. I guide students through the full songwriting process, from idea to demo, using tools I’ve learned through years of professional experience in Nashville and beyond. I incorporate music theory, ear training, and performance coaching into all my lessons when relevant, helping students build a strong foundation while staying motivated and inspired. Most importantly, I foster a space that’s inclusive, encouraging, and growth-focused — where students feel safe to take risks, express themselves, and celebrate progress every step of the way.
