During a recent vocal lesson, Michael guided Arielle through her singing practice, with a particular focus on breath control, phrasing, and dynamics. They worked on two pieces, 'Rest in the Lord' and 'Caro mio ben,' where Arielle honed her performance. Michael provided detailed feedback on her pronunciation, breath marks, and overall musical interpretation. To further enhance her understanding of dynamics, he suggested Arielle acquire the '24 Italian Art Songs' book and engage with professional recordings.

Michael and Emma engaged in a vocal lesson that included warm-up exercises and practice with several songs, including 'Demon Hunters,' 'Cross My Heart,' 'What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger),' and 'Just a Girl.' Emma worked on maintaining pitch, exploring different vocal ranges, and adapting her style to various genres. Michael suggested Emma listen to 'Demon Hunters' during the week for further practice.

Michael guided Arielle through a vocal lesson, concentrating on her audition songs. They honed in on breath control, phrasing, and diction for "Komeo Ben U" and "O Rest in the Lord." Arielle recorded her practice sessions to assess her performance and microphone placement. Michael also advised her to explore other artists' interpretations and consider learning to read music. They concluded by agreeing to schedule further lessons to refine her vocal abilities.

Michael collaborated with Arielle on curating songs for an upcoming audition, emphasizing selections from the Golden Age of musicals and pieces in diverse languages. Arielle then practiced "Caro Mio Ben," with Michael offering guidance on legato phrasing and breath control, specifically the 'tug breath' technique, during their singing lesson. As preparation for their next meeting, Arielle was tasked with researching phrasing and dynamics.

In their singing lesson, Michael and John worked through vocal warm-ups, then applied these techniques to perform "Austin" and "Wicked Game." A key focus was on determining the appropriate key and vocal range for each song. Michael demonstrated the "sliding method" for smooth transitions between lower and higher notes and provided guidance on breath support for sustained tones. John's assignment was to practice the sliding technique for their next lesson.

Michael Borosky assisted Arielle Pugh in a lesson, helping her prepare for a Florida Grand Opera audition application. Their discussion covered appropriate repertoire, including art songs in different languages and selections from Golden Age musical theater. Arielle practiced vocal exercises and worked on "Caro mio ben," receiving feedback on her tone and legato. Michael recommended listening to Nadine Sierra for technique and control and assigned Arielle to practice the song they had focused on.
