I'm Nevena Kovacevic, a vocal, piano, and music theory instructor with over 10 years of experience. I hold a Diploma in Music from McMaster University and a 3-year Applied Music diploma from Mohawk College. My passion lies in teaching singing across various genres such as classical, pop, rock, jazz, and blues. In my lessons, I prioritize enhancing students' pitch, solfeggio, and music theory understanding. I make sure to integrate basic piano skills and music theory into vocal education as they are fundamental. Singing lessons highlights

I believe in creating a versatile and engaging learning environment where students can explore and enhance their singing abilities at their own pace. My teaching approach is centered around fostering confidence, refining pitch accuracy, and mastering rhythm and timing across various genres like classical, pop, jazz, rock, movie, and blues singing. To enrich the learning experience, I leverage a diverse range of tech tools including ear training software, vocal pitch training apps, karaoke and backing track applications, and metronome apps. These tools not only make lessons interactive but also enable students to practice efficiently both online and offline. In structuring my lessons, I draw from a variety of ear training and pitch training resources from reputable publishers in Canada, USA, and Europe. It's crucial to me that students grasp each lesson thoroughly and comprehend all the materials covered. With a curriculum tailored to A-Levels (UK), AP Program (USA), IB, and more, I cater to students of all levels – from beginners to intermediate and adults, ensuring a holistic and personalized learning experience for all.
