I'm Sabine Cooper, a musician/music teacher with 20+ years experience in violin/viola (modern & baroque) and singing. After an extensive international career as a performer, I settled down with my young family and diverted my time more to teaching as well as playing in concerts within the UK. My approach is to tailor each lesson according to students' individual needs, where I've been known to playfully coax pupils out of their safety zone into a wider musical experience and a higher estimation of themselves. Lessons can be held in English or German since I was born and raised in Germany. Whether you're a junior or senior interested in starting the violin or viola, improving your technique, learning how to play on gut strings, train your ears, prepare for auditions, exploring your vocal talent, or get better at sight reading - what are you waiting for?

My tutoring approach is a mix of expressive and rhythmic accuracy, focusing on sound while making learning fun, engaging and interactive. I teach a variety of subjects including singing, early years music education, violin, viola, historical performance practice and subjects like music theory and music history will organically be part of some lessons. My lesson plans are individually tailored and I do my best to pick my students up at whatever level they are, with the aim to help them grow their abilities and knowledge, as well as confidence as a musician. If you are an absolute beginner or already very advanced doesn't matter since I will provide a personalized tutoring approach that can adapt to each students' unique learning style, with the aim to make our lessons enjoyable, informative and effective.
