Singing concept taught by Youdan
Youdan and Audrey worked on vocal techniques, including breath control, vocal cord thickness, resonance placement, and runs and riffs. Audrey practiced staccato and siren exercises, and applied these techniques to the songs "Forever" by Clario and "Better Be Home Soon" by Crowded House. Audrey was assigned to practice three-note runs and riffs using the 'thick four' voice and to continue working on breath control and vocal placement in the songs discussed, with a follow-up session scheduled for next week.

Youdan guided an individual from West University through vocal warm-up techniques, focusing on breath control from the belly and proper vocal cord management to improve singing. They practiced lip flutters, siren exercises, and staccato exercises to build breath support and vocal placement. For the next lesson, the learner was assigned to find a new song with a suitable vocal range and to continue practicing the techniques discussed.

Youdan guided Signe through a vocal technique lesson, concentrating on diaphragmatic support, vocal cord control, and achieving a relaxed vocal production, particularly in her high range. Signe actively practiced lip flutters, sirens, and a song, aiming to improve her high note control and confidence. Youdan advised her to practice improvising runs and riffs by listening to other singers, and to maintain focus on relaxing her body while singing.

Youdan and a learner worked on vocal techniques to strengthen the individual's mix voice, focusing on breath support, vocal cord closure, and the glottal onset. The learner, who resides in Cary Park, practiced these techniques with the songs "That's so true" and "Ceilings," with an emphasis on using the belly for support rather than pushing from the throat. Youdan assigned practice focusing on belly engagement and learning the first verse of "Ceilings."
