Hi I’m Mark V. Harriott a passionate piano tutor with 15 years of playing experience and 4 years of teaching experience. I studied music and performance at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Valencia College. I’ve performed in choirs and orchestras and I am ready to help you in all of your performance levels and needs. My piano lessons are a blend of fun and expertise. I specialize in chord theory, ear training, improvisation and more. Whether it’s for adults, beginners, or intermediate players, I tailor each session for your needs. My immediate goal is to help you identify all the piano keys, all major chords, scales and five finger patterns. If your goal is to play classical piano pieces, to play in a rock band, play for the church, impress your friends and family or just to play for your own enjoyment I am here to help. During a recent vocal lesson, an individual from Scottsdale collaborated with Katedra on warm-up exercises, applying them to Usher's "You Got It Bad." The focus was on mastering transitions between head voice and falsetto. They also explored strategies for karaoke performances and personalizing a song. Their next lesson is set for September 9th, where they will continue with "You Got It Bad" and start working on John Legend's "Refuge."
