Student and Tutor worked on violin scales and several musical pieces from Essential Elements and the Suzuki book. They practiced "Pop Goes the Weasel," "Under the Sea," and began working on a new piece, #190, focusing on dynamics, musical form (Da Capo al Fine), and bowing techniques. The Tutor also introduced finger-keeping techniques for smoother playing and assigned practicing the first three measures of the new piece, the last part of "Under the Sea," and the Minuet, along with independent scale practice. They also discussed performance techniques and potential music competitions.
