Uyen is a dedicated music educator, performer, and event organizer with a passion for making music accessible to students of all ages and abilities. Holding a degree in Media Arts from York University, specializing in music production, Uyen combines technical expertise with a student-centred teaching approach. As a private and group music instructor, Uyen has taught guitar and piano at various music centres, helping students develop foundational skills, explore diverse musical genres, and prepare for performances. With professional training in electric guitar, Uyen also provides private lessons tailored to individual learning goals, ensuring that everyone can connect, learn, and showcase their talents. Beyond teaching, Uyen has also actively contributed to Toronto’s music community by organizing gigs and jam sessions for all-ability individuals and young children such as “Accessible Music Jam for Adults” hosted by Music Salon or “Music by the Water” by Art and Water. As a concert coordinator, Uyen has experience in event planning, stage setup, and artist support, ensuring seamless performances and engagement opportunities for all musicians. And when it comes to performing, she has played at numerous local gigs and shows, bringing energy and creativity to every stage.
