Hi! I am a current equine science student, but before that I spent almost the full 4 years at CSU studying zoology on a pre-vet track. I decide to switch paths as my career goals and dreams changed, but I still have a passion for science! I can teach elementary through high school science. I like using methods that use real life, concrete examples, as science is all about the real world! I also think active recall and practice are key with learning science, as understanding the process of solving a problem is much more important to your success than simply memorizing and regurgitating information, especially as you progress through your academic career. As someone who struggles with anxiety myself, I understand how stressful and difficult learning a new subject can be. I lead with compassion and understanding, and know that every student learns differently. I will work with you to find a method and approach that works for you, and will do my best to make sure you feel supported and confident in your learning. I am very collaborative, so my plans are flexible and I am always open to suggestions and requests. Learning is personal, so I want to make sure you feel like you are getting everything you need to be successful. Never be afraid to tell me if my methods aren't working!
