I'm Vini Motta, graduated civil engineering in 2008 at UFF. Initiated da Master in Mechanical Engineering in 2016 at PUC-Rio. I hold a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Cambridge, UK, since 2000. I didn't grow up speaking English — I learned it as a second language, so I know exactly what my students are going through: the fear of sounding silly, the gap between understanding and speaking, the habit of translating in your head mid-sentence. I crossed that bridge myself, and today I work in English every day — sales calls, coaching sessions, and consulting with clients in the US market. My teaching experience comes from coaching and advisory work. As a financial advisor, my job was essentially teaching: breaking down complex, intimidating concepts until clients felt confident using them. As a sales coach, I train professionals through structured drills, role-play, and feedback — which taught me how people actually retain skills: by speaking and repeating, not by memorizing rules. That's how I run English sessions. My style is diagnostic-first: I find out where each student gets stuck and what they need English for — work, travel, an exam — then build sessions around real conversation: practical scenarios, gentle correction, and small wins that build confidence. My students spend most of the session speaking, not listening to me. As a native Portuguese speaker, I can also explain tricky concepts in Portuguese when needed, and I anticipate the exact mistakes Brazilian learners make before they happen. I enjoy teaching, guiding, talking about subject in tech, engineering, code, AI, SMB's challenges.
