Economics made more: Digestible Practical Interesting Economics doesn’t have to be intimidating anymore!

My name is Ashley, and I’m a Marketing specialist with an applied economics degree. I’ve had multiple tutoring experiences teaching, both online and in-person, to students ranging from young kids to adults in their 40s and 50s. As I’m currently working in the marketing industry, I also have firsthand experience applying real-world business concepts in professional settings, which allows me to connect academic concepts to practical, real-life applications for my students. My teaching style is based on meeting my students where they’re at and knowing how to break down difficult theories and concepts into ways that are much more engaging and easier to understand. I personally don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, and I believe the best results come from personalizing the curriculum to fit each student’s specific needs. I also value creating a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. I focus on positive reinforcement and building on each student’s strengths to help them stay motivated and improve steadily. My approach for each student would include an initial session to better understand their exact needs, goals, and areas they want to improve in, and then planning the right “curriculum” tailored specifically for them. I can help with teaching more difficult concepts, exam preparation, homework support, application-based learning, real-world/case analysis, and more.
