Hello, I'm Shannon and I am a dedicated music tutor specialising in guitar instruction. I bring 14 years of guitar experience and 4 years of teaching expertise to my students. Music has always been my greatest passion and has had a profound impact on my life. It has truly become an inseparable part of who I am. It has been my source of inspiration, expression, and joy for as long as I can remember. Whether I’m playing the guitar, or exploring new genres, music has always been my way of connecting with the world and expressing myself in ways words alone cannot. It has also taught me discipline and creativity. This passion is what drives me to share the gift of music with others, helping them find their own connection to it. As a guitar instructor my teaching style is creative, interactive, adaptable, and highly supportive. I believe in the importance of showing genuine interest in my students’ goals and creating tailored, unique lessons that guide them through their individual musical journeys. My approach emphasises a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment, where students are empowered to choose the genre of music they want to explore. When I was learning guitar, I greatly admired how my teacher encouraged me to decide what I wanted to play. That freedom made learning the guitar so much more exciting for me and gave me the motivation I needed to practice on my own. I aim to pass on that same sense of excitement and ownership to my students.
