I’m a classroom teacher with experience working with elementary and middle school students in both general education and supportive learning environments. I love building relationships with students and helping them feel more confident, especially kids who get overwhelmed easily or think they’re “bad” at school. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and creative. I try to make learning feel less intimidating by meeting students where they are and keeping lessons engaging and personalized. I’ve helped students with reading, writing, study skills, homework support, and classroom organization, and I enjoy finding different ways to explain concepts until something clicks for them. My background also includes teaching U.S. History, providing reading intervention support, and working with students in homeschooling environments, including time spent homeschooling abroad in London. Those experiences helped me become flexible and adaptable as an educator and taught me how important it is to tailor learning to each individual student’s needs and personality.
