About your data science tutor
Hi, I am Nikita Dadlani. I have around 10.5 years of experience of teaching online. I teach almost all concepts from statistics and data science. Along with that I know and teach the statistical analysis and programming tools like R, Excel, Python, JASP, Tableau. I have also solved many assignments, helped in case studies, reports, projects etc. I love to teach. I prefer teaching in detail and by clearing the basic concepts of student. Interactive sessions go best with my teacher. I like to crack the logic behind any concept and I teach with the same logic to students. I use pen tab also to teach and to explain the concepts clearly. In my teaching I like to discuss the concept from scratch even in advance concepts, it's good to discuss the previous basics for at least important pointers and I prefer that. My teaching method includes examples and references from real scenarios to get connected to what we are learning. At the end it's students' choice and comfort of how they need teaching and I would like to be flexible about it and teach accordingly. I try to strengthen the knowledge of student and make them feel confident about what they learnt. I make sure that student understood the concept by asking small questions and I welcome the questions and feedback. Thanks!

Data Science concepts taught by Nikita
The Student and Tutor worked extensively on an Excel spreadsheet, focusing on refining commission tracking and reporting. They addressed formatting issues, adjusted commission calculation logic for individual agents and the primary agent, and implemented new formulas in the summary table to accurately reflect total expected commissions.
Excel Currency Formatting & Format Painter
Understanding Excel Hyperlink Behavior
Dynamic Commission Tracking with Excel Formulas
Manual vs. Automated Commission Rate Input
Structuring Summary Tables for Comprehensive Financial Analysis
Student and Tutor worked through several Excel data management and formula correction tasks. They focused on understanding and applying correct pasting methods to avoid data errors, refreshing pivot tables to update data, and ensuring accurate calculation formulas for total and average commissions across various agent reports. The session ended with a plan to clarify the company's approach to setting overall financial goals.
Paste Special: Values
Managing Company Goals: Manual vs. Formulaic Totals
Calculating and Interpreting Average Commission
Ensuring Data Accuracy with Formulas
Refreshing Pivot Tables
The Student and Tutor worked on optimizing an Excel spreadsheet for printing, focusing on solving issues related to content size and layout across multiple pages. They practiced adjusting page margins, scaling, font sizes, and strategically inserting page breaks to ensure charts and tables printed clearly and cohesively. The session concluded with a successfully formatted document ready for printing, and a follow-up session was scheduled to continue their learning.
Excel Print Scaling Techniques
Enhancing Print Readability
Strategic Chart & Table Placement for Printing
Customizing Page Margins and Centering
Student and Tutor addressed a data discrepancy in 2023 commission totals in Excel by correcting a missing date for a negative value. They then prepared multi-year commission data by structuring it with "Year" columns and consolidating it, culminating in the creation of a Pivot Table and a clustered column chart for annual comparison. They planned to continue with more past years and explore printing options for charts.
Dynamic Monthly Total Calculation with SUMIF Refinement
Troubleshooting Temporary Excel Display Issues
Analyzing Trends with Pivot Tables and Clustered Column Charts
Consolidating Multi-Year Data for Analysis
Standardizing Data with a 'Year' Column
Resolving Data Discrepancy in Commission Totals
The Student and Tutor worked on extracting and summarizing financial data in Excel, focusing on applying `SUMIF` formulas to calculate monthly commissions for 2024 and 2023, and correcting a `COUNTA` formula for transaction totals in 2026. They practiced using absolute references and troubleshooting discrepancies in the calculated totals. The Tutor will investigate a remaining data discrepancy for the 2023 file, and the next session is scheduled for the following week.
Dynamic SUMIF for Monthly Commission Totals
Absolute Cell References with Dollar Signs ($)
Correcting COUNTIF Ranges for Accurate Transaction Totals
Debugging Data Discrepancies and Formula Issues
Formatting Financial Data for Readability
Setting Up Monthly Commission Tables
Student and Tutor worked on extracting and aggregating financial data in Excel. The session focused on troubleshooting date formatting issues, learning how to use the `SUMIF` function to calculate month-wise commission totals, and applying absolute references in formulas. The plan for the next session is to apply these methods to data from previous years to create comparative graphs.
