Ankit - About your AP tutor

I teach physics with a clear, structured, and outcome-focused approach, aiming not just for understanding but for consistent performance under exam conditions. I move systematically from concept to mechanism to application so students can logically reproduce solutions instead of relying on memorization. I strongly believe physics is a subject of cause-and-effect, not formulas, and I train students to think in that framework. A major part of my teaching focuses on exam behavior, especially in MCQs. I address common mistakes like careless errors, misinterpretation, and poor elimination strategies, and I train students to think like examiners. This improves both accuracy and decision-making under time pressure. My style is direct, practical, and structured. I maintain high standards while staying empathetic to student struggles, ensuring they are supported but also pushed to improve. I emphasize problem-solving intuition, helping students recognize patterns, estimate smartly, and manage time effectively. I also focus on error analysis and reflection so students can identify and correct recurring mistakes. Alongside this, I build disciplined habits through consistent practice, spaced revision, and timed tests, ensuring retention and performance become reliable. Ultimately, my goal is to develop independent thinkers who approach physics with clarity, logic, and confidence.

The tutor and student reviewed physics concepts including engine efficiency, phase changes, specific heat capacity, ideal gas law, rotational equilibrium, centripetal force, friction, Newton's laws, impulse, wave properties, and energy conservation during rolling without slipping. They solved problems related to these topics, and the student demonstrated understanding through calculations and concept application.

The Tutor and Student reviewed fundamental physics concepts including the ideal gas law, Boyle's Law, the equation of continuity, Bernoulli's principle, and Archimedes' principle. They solved practice problems related to gas calculations, fluid flow through pipes, pressure in fluids, and buoyancy, with a focus on applying these principles to real-world scenarios. The next session is scheduled to continue working through the remaining problems in the question set.

The student sought help with college-level general physics topics, specifically chapters 10-16, which include waves, gases, fluids, and thermodynamics. The tutor began by reviewing the basics of Simple Harmonic Motion, differentiating it from periodic and oscillatory motion, and defining the conditions for SHM. The student needs to retrieve a practice exam to guide future study sessions.
