About your engineering tutor
I am Vaishali Holkar, a dedicated tutor with Master's of Technology in Power Systems Engineering. I have done my Bachlors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. My passion is teaching and have 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering tutoring at engg. college. I specialize in personalied learning, offering expert teaching in various subjects like concepts learning, exam prep. and Homework help. My focus areas include Basic Elecrtical engg, Power systems, power quality, machines, electrical drives, utilization of EE etc.. I tailor study plans to enhance students understanding. Application based examples and analogies to make students understand is my key method of teaching. I teach Utilizing diagrams, flowcharts, simulations, and laboratory experiments to engage students who learn better through visual stimuli rather than verbal/written explanations. I beleive moving away from the "expert" lecturing model towards a facilitator model where instructors guide students through projects, often with industry-relevant applications. Research indicates a significant gap between how professors teach (deductive/passive) and how engineering students learn (inductive/active). To bridge this, instructors are encouraged to introduce more active learning, simulations, and real-world projects into the classroom to accommodate diverse student needs and improve conceptual understanding. Let's embark on this learning journey together for academic excellence!

Engineering concepts taught by Vaishali
The student and tutor reviewed fundamental concepts of transistors, including their function as amplifiers and switches, and the difference between electrical and electronic devices. They discussed transistor biasing, the Q-point, and DC load lines, working through calculations related to saturation current and region determination. Future sessions will focus on simpler explanations and a 'chunking' teaching method.
