“Listening,Learning, and Creating Meaningful Architecture.” Space and better design

My teaching style is centered on the belief that architecture is not only about designing buildings, but about understanding space, human experience, and the relationship between the built environment and its context. I strive to create a learning environment where students feel encouraged to think creatively, question ideas, and develop their own architectural voice. My goal is to guide students in building a strong conceptual foundation In my classroom and design studio, I promote an interactive and discussion-based approach to learning. Architecture education thrives on dialogue, critique, and collaboration. I encourage students to express their ideas openly, participate in discussions, and learn from peer feedback. Studio reviews and design conversations are an essential part of the learning process because they help students refine their ideas and understand multiple perspectives in design thinking.I emphasize the importance of fundamental architectural principles such as scale, proportion, spatial hierarchy, circulation, light, and materiality. I guide them to translate conceptual ideas into spatial solutions through sketches, diagrams, physical models, and digital representations. Contextual understanding is another key component of my teaching approach.Ultimately, my role as an educator is to mentor, guide, and inspire students to think critically and design responsibly. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident exploring new ideas and developing innovative architectural solutions.
