About your engineering tutor

I am currently a 4th year bachelors microelectronic engineering student at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I am also working towards my +1MBA. I did a co-op at Vicor Power Corp from July 2024 - December 2024. From June 2025- August 2025 I was a co-op at Tokyo Elecron Limited. I have a lot of knowledge and experience with electrical enginneeing, both from my academics and co-ops. In high school I was in a program that tutored middle and elementary school kids. I tought them basic math and helped them improve their grades drastically. I was also a youth lacrosse coach, so I have experience with teaching something the other person knows little about. In my second and third years at college, me and my friends would take turn leading review sessions every unit. This helped me with both better understanding the subject and talking others through problems and concepts.

Engineering class snapshot

I think the best way to learn is by having people ask questions, and providing an environment that supports that. If people ask questions, that means they are engaged, and wanting to learn. When presenting difficult problems, I would first allow students time to attempt them independently or in small groups. Collaboration encourages discussion, exposes students to multiple ways of thinking, and reinforces communication skills. After giving them time to explore, I would walk through the solution step-by-step, explaining not just how to solve it, but why each step matters. I want students to understand the logic behind the process. By breaking down complex problems into manageable parts, I can demonstrate strategies they can apply in future situations. Additionally, I believe in connecting lessons to real-world applications whenever possible. Students are more motivated when they understand the relevance of what they are learning. Whether through examples, projects, or discussions, I would show how the material applies outside the classroom.
