My name is Margaret and I am from Belarus but currently i am in Italy. I am a Secondary English Teacher with a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in Slovakia. I've taught to all levels and ages of students, specifically referring to Secondary School which is students are typically from 11 to 18 years old. In addition, this year I completed courses from the World Academy of TESOL/TEFL,TEOL,TEAL,TEYL and I’m the holder of certificates for each of them. In Slovakia, I taught six different classes and age groups in Elementary, Gymnasium and Secondary schools using the state curriculum, with books such as Headway B1-B2 level and Project. Also, I’ve been evaluating for the English Olympiad. This experience helped students to build confidence and to fulfill their potential. I specialized in subject knowledge, soft skills classroom management and pedagogical expertise. I love my job and really enjoy teaching students of all needs. In my lessons you can expect based on your preferred learning styles and your interests to keep engaged, incorporating through critical thinking/debates. Also advanced grammar and structure, persuasive and academic writing as well as functional language for life. Besides this, my teaching methods are integrated skills approach, project-based learning, communicative language teaching with authentic material use and immediate feedback. In my previous position as an English teacher in Slovakia, I was able to improve student academic performance, their results, and increase their final exam pass rate by 23%. I implemented innovative teaching methods and actively used digital technology, including projectors and tape recorders, and organized and conducted professional competitions such as the English Language Olympiad.
