Music lessons overview
Ever lesson is tailored the the students personalized goals. Every student gets a brand new, individually tailored weekly email with tips, advice, warm-ups, and additional resources to supplement their learning. For piano - we work out of a lesson book, and do handwritten theory exercises. I also utilize additional learning materials like flash cards and games. There is not one singular way that works for each student - some students are drawn to composition and we focus on that - and some have a talent for playing by ear. For singing - we pick one song per month to focus on that will help you grow in your particular goal (singing high notes, better articulations, breathing, etc) we carefully select daily vocal warm-ups.

Megan Wilde coached Lena Arzu on breath control and vocal warm-ups to improve her singing technique. Lena practiced expanding her rib cage while breathing and timed lip trills to increase breath-holding capacity. Megan assigned daily practice of these exercises and vocal warm-ups, and they scheduled a follow-up to assess progress and introduce more advanced breathing exercises.

Libby and Megan worked on Libby's song "Stay Strong," with Megan providing feedback on songwriting techniques, including differentiating it from similar songs and creating contrast through rhythmic variation in melodies. The session also included vocal warm-ups and a singing lesson where Megan emphasized proper breathing technique and breath support, adapting exercises to accommodate Libby's scoliosis and HPP. They also briefly discuss practicing another song, "Cassandra."
