Class overview
Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine advanced techniques, I adapt the pace and content to maximize your learning experience. 🧭 Personalized Learning Path Begin with a short assessment to understand your current level, learning objectives, and preferred workflow. Tailor the sessions to align with your academic needs, professional projects, or software certification goals. 💻 Live, Interactive Sessions Use screen sharing and real-time modeling to guide you step-by-step. Encourage active participation—students build along with me to reinforce learning. Sessions are recorded (optional) so you can revisit complex concepts at your own pace. 🧱 Project-Based Learning Work on complete mini-projects (e.g., residential units, commercial interiors, fit-outs). Apply concepts in real-world contexts—layouts, modeling, annotations, and construction documents. ⚙️ Tool Mastery & Best Practices Teach clean model practices, template setup, file linking, and parametric family creation. Share industry workflows used in firms, including worksets, phasing, and collaboration strategies. 🧩 Flexible & Adaptive Sessions are scheduled based on your availability. I adjust depth and content based on progress—spending more time on areas where you need support. 📈 Progress Reviews & Support Periodic reviews to track your growth and confidence. Provide exercises, cheat sheets, and follow-up support between sessions via email or shared drive.

Architecture concepts taught by bhavleen
The session involved a student refining a Revit project by replacing doors with storefront and commercial types, adjusting their properties and placement. The student also learned to add gutters to the roof and modify their material for a more realistic appearance. There was no specific homework assigned, but the student was encouraged to continue working on the project.
Adding Gutters to Roofs
Changing Gutter Material
Using the Match Type Tool (MA)
Inserting Doors into Curtain Walls
Adjusting Curtain Wall Height
Replacing Doors with Curtain Walls
The session covered Revit interface basics, including detail levels, units, and visibility graphics. The Student learned about True North/Project North, underlay settings, crop regions, and view ranges. The Student will practice the concepts discussed and work on importing a CAD file and building a simple model in the next session.

Visibility Graphics (VG) & Category Overrides
Detail Level: Coarse vs. Fine
Project North vs. True North
Underlay Functionality
Crop View and Crop Region
View Range and Plan Regions
The Student and Tutor worked on rendering a Revit project, troubleshooting Enscape and Twinmotion installation and licensing issues. They focused on applying and modifying materials, specifically changing the exterior wall finish to brick and adjusting its color. The session concluded with a discussion of adding camera views, exporting sheets to maintain scale, and using Canva for poster creation, with a homework to add camera views from the inside too.

Object Hiding and Revealing
The Student and Tutor collaborated on refining a Revit model by modifying the roof, adding a courtyard entrance, and placing windows. The Student practiced using Revit's editing tools, including split, copy, rotate, and move. The Student plans to explore Enscape materials to finalize the brick color.

The session covered importing CAD files, PDFs, and images into Revit, focusing on the differences between linking and importing. The student learned about scaling files, using the 'Enable Snaps' option for PDFs, and working with grids and levels. The student will practice these techniques and potentially apply them to a small project at work.

Using the Pick Lines Tool
Managing Grids in Revit
The Student and Tutor practiced applying materials and decals within a Revit project to enhance its visual representation. The session covered importing and applying Enscape materials, adjusting lighting and display settings in Revit, and inserting and manipulating decals on walls. The Student plans to continue adding materials to the project.
