Class overview
Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine advanced techniques, I adapt the pace and content to maximize your learning experience. 🧭 Personalized Learning Path Begin with a short assessment to understand your current level, learning objectives, and preferred workflow. Tailor the sessions to align with your academic needs, professional projects, or software certification goals. 💻 Live, Interactive Sessions Use screen sharing and real-time modeling to guide you step-by-step. Encourage active participation—students build along with me to reinforce learning. Sessions are recorded (optional) so you can revisit complex concepts at your own pace. 🧱 Project-Based Learning Work on complete mini-projects (e.g., residential units, commercial interiors, fit-outs). Apply concepts in real-world contexts—layouts, modeling, annotations, and construction documents. ⚙️ Tool Mastery & Best Practices Teach clean model practices, template setup, file linking, and parametric family creation. Share industry workflows used in firms, including worksets, phasing, and collaboration strategies. 🧩 Flexible & Adaptive Sessions are scheduled based on your availability. I adjust depth and content based on progress—spending more time on areas where you need support. 📈 Progress Reviews & Support Periodic reviews to track your growth and confidence. Provide exercises, cheat sheets, and follow-up support between sessions via email or shared drive.

Architecture concepts taught by bhavleen
The Student learned how to import and scale a PDF in Revit, set up elevation levels, and understand the importance of proper file setup. The student was assigned homework to import the parking level plan, scale it correctly, and add grids. The goal is to prepare the Revit file for future modeling sessions.

Setting Up Elevation Levels
Importing and Scaling PDF in Revit
Understanding Wall Tag Ratings
The session covered creating and manipulating ceilings and sections in Revit, with a focus on understanding view range and its impact on element visibility. The student shared their Revit project for troubleshooting section views. The tutor assigned a task to replicate a building with provided floor plans, sections, and elevations for the next session to practice setting up a Revit project from the beginning.

Floor Plans vs. Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP)
Creating Ceilings
Understanding Ceiling Layers
The Student and Tutor discussed view templates in Revit, focusing on graphical settings and visibility controls. The Student learned how to create, modify, apply, and transfer view templates between Revit files. They also explored techniques for temporary modifications and template duplication for customized views.

Transferring Project Standards
The session covered importing CAD drawings into Revit, setting up levels, creating walls with different layers and properties, and inserting windows and storefronts. The student practiced placing walls, windows, and doors based on the imported CAD plan. The homework is to replicate the steps from the class using the provided Revit and CAD files.

Storefronts and Curtain Walls
The session involved a student refining a Revit project by replacing doors with storefront and commercial types, adjusting their properties and placement. The student also learned to add gutters to the roof and modify their material for a more realistic appearance. There was no specific homework assigned, but the student was encouraged to continue working on the project.

The session covered Revit interface basics, including detail levels, units, and visibility graphics. The Student learned about True North/Project North, underlay settings, crop regions, and view ranges. The Student will practice the concepts discussed and work on importing a CAD file and building a simple model in the next session.
