Class overview
Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine advanced techniques, I adapt the pace and content to maximize your learning experience. 🧭 Personalized Learning Path Begin with a short assessment to understand your current level, learning objectives, and preferred workflow. Tailor the sessions to align with your academic needs, professional projects, or software certification goals. 💻 Live, Interactive Sessions Use screen sharing and real-time modeling to guide you step-by-step. Encourage active participation—students build along with me to reinforce learning. Sessions are recorded (optional) so you can revisit complex concepts at your own pace. 🧱 Project-Based Learning Work on complete mini-projects (e.g., residential units, commercial interiors, fit-outs). Apply concepts in real-world contexts—layouts, modeling, annotations, and construction documents. ⚙️ Tool Mastery & Best Practices Teach clean model practices, template setup, file linking, and parametric family creation. Share industry workflows used in firms, including worksets, phasing, and collaboration strategies. 🧩 Flexible & Adaptive Sessions are scheduled based on your availability. I adjust depth and content based on progress—spending more time on areas where you need support. 📈 Progress Reviews & Support Periodic reviews to track your growth and confidence. Provide exercises, cheat sheets, and follow-up support between sessions via email or shared drive.

Architecture concept taught by bhavleen
Bhavleen and Pallfamily discussed curtain walls in Revit, covering the differences between empty, exterior glazing, and storefront types. Pallfamily learned how to modify storefront grids and the process of adding doors to curtain walls, including using section lines to create elevation views. Bhavleen will share a Revit family library with Pallfamily to facilitate future exercises.

Bhavleen and Pallfamily reviewed wall creation and manipulation techniques in Revit, including the use of top and base offsets, various selection methods, and temporary and permanent hiding of elements. Pallfamily practiced these techniques, focusing on accurately aligning walls with floors. The next session is scheduled for Sunday to continue working on Revit projects.

The following is a summary of a lesson. Bhavleen assisted Alia in refining the design of a culinary academy, focusing on spatial arrangements for kitchens, classrooms, and student dormitories. Their collaborative effort involved analyzing building plans, discussing potential structural modifications, and considering accessibility and functionality within the architectural design process. Alia was tasked with revising her case study to reflect the updated design and prepare for a discussion on the building's exterior features in the next lesson.

Bhavleen and Hugo reviewed AutoCAD skills, including scaling, blocks, layers, and viewports. Hugo practiced scaling objects and editing blocks, and they discussed strategies for managing layers in external references. Bhavleen assigned no specific homework but will demonstrate global axis changes and efficient elevation drafting in the next session.

Bhavleen and the student reviewed Revit elevations, focusing on creating and adjusting levels. The student learned how to add elevation markers, create new levels, and connect walls to these levels, understanding the difference between connected and unconnected walls. Due to technical issues, the session was cut short and rescheduled for Sunday to allow the student to practice alongside Bhavleen on a larger screen.

Bhavleen reviewed a student's cooking school hotel project, focusing on instructor feedback regarding site sections, floor plans, and program adjustments. The student, who attends Golden West College in Huntington Beach, will gather site photos and send project files to Bhavleen, who will revise the Revit model to incorporate the slope in the sections, adjust the floor plan layout, and refine space allocation. They scheduled a follow-up lesson for Monday to review the revisions.
