Hello! I’m Magdalena Haladyn, a current English major completing my bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto, with over five years of English teaching experience and nine years of working with children and teenagers in both classroom and educational settings. I’m deeply passionate about teaching and have extensive experience working with learners of all ages and levels—from young beginners to advanced and even native English speakers. I currently work as a children’s English tutor, helping kids improve their speaking, reading, and writing skills. I also volunteer at my former high school as a classroom teacher’s assistant, where I support students one-on-one or in small groups as they complete their schoolwork. In my sessions, I create a positive, supportive, and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. I use a variety of interactive tools and resources, including Zoom, Google Classroom, Quizlet, slideshows, videos, online books, and educational games, especially when teaching younger learners. I also love incorporating writing worksheets and exercises from various online websites to truly give students a variety of engaging ways to practice and learn. My lessons are designed to be interactive, supportive, and enjoyable, helping students develop not only their English skills but also a genuine appreciation for the language. My ultimate goal is to help every student gain confidence, understanding, and success in English.
