About your tutor
I’m Sharwari, an Architect and a Master in Design graduate from RMIT University, Melbourne. I am a passionate designer who likes to I have a year of experience in teaching. I am a passionate designer driven by the fusion of conceptual creativity and strategic thinking, crafting architectural solutions that are both visionary and purposeful. My work explores how technology can be harnessed to design architecture that is not only innovative, but also sustainable for the future. I encourage students to embrace the diverse tools of architectural design technology—from parametric modeling to wind analysis softwares—as a catalyst for creating smarter and more sustainable architecture. My expertise lies in Interior design, conceptual design, Architectural design, Autocad drafting, 3d modelling and rendering in Sketchup and Lumion.

Class overview
My work explores how technology can be harnessed to design architecture that is not only innovative, but also sustainable for the future. I encourage students to embrace the diverse tools of architectural design technology—from parametric modeling to wind analysis softwares—as a catalyst for creating smarter and more sustainable architecture. My personalized tutoring approach blends strategical design thinking, engaging activities, concept development and project based learning to offer dynamic and effictive Architecture, Autocad, Interior design and Sketchup modelling and Lumion rendering training. Leveraging a mix of online tools like Sketchup, Aitocad,Zoom and Bitpaper, I create interactive lessons that cater to English college students at an advanced level. By following a structured curriculum, I ensure that students receive comprehensive training that not only enhances their skills but also fosters creativity and critical thinking.

Architecture concepts taught by Sharwari
The session involved a practical lesson on using CAD software for architectural drawing. The student practiced drawing building sections, including stairs, and learned techniques for scaling, line manipulation, offsetting, and hatching. The next session will involve adding decorative elements and potentially exploring Photoshop.
CAD Drawing Aids: Ortho
Polar Tracking
and Object Snaps
Hatching and Line Weight Adjustments
Grouping and Blocking Objects in CAD
CAD Editing Tools: Trim
Extend
Move
The student practiced drafting a landscape plan in AutoCAD, focusing on floor plan layout and the use of the array command. The session covered setting units, drawing walls and doors, and using rectangular and polar arrays to create repeating patterns. The student was given a landscape plan to practice with and asked to add hatches and trees to the plan for the next session.

Mirror Command
The student and tutor worked on AutoCAD layout settings, viewport creation and manipulation, and several modify commands (stretch, scale, fillet). The student learned to set up different paper sizes, create and edit viewports, and modify object geometry using the modify commands. The tutor will share short keys and plans for practice.

Viewports: Creating and Manipulating
Stretch Command
Scale Command (with Reference)
Fillet Command
The Tutor guided the Student on advanced AutoCAD techniques, including creating plot sheets, grouping objects, and using blocks for efficient design modifications. The Student practiced creating viewports and setting plot scales. The Tutor will share files and blocks for further practice, and the Student scheduled another session for continued learning.

Plotting and Sheet Setup
The Tutor guided the Student through the initial steps of using AutoCAD to draft a floor plan. They covered essential commands like line, offset, trim, hatch, and dimensioning and how to create and manage layers to control the appearance of different elements. The student will practice these commands and experiment with creating different plan options and the Tutor will provide a block library for doors and windows.

The Student reviewed the AutoCAD interface and drawing tools and practiced basic commands. The session covered setting units, creating blocks, using layers, and modifying objects. The tutor suggested that the Student download AutoCAD and practice drawing basic shapes and using modification tools before the next session, where they will begin drafting a plan.
