Hello! I'm Julian Martinez, a guitar instructor and vocal coach with many years of performing experience as a solo artist and in groups, and several years of teaching experience with students of all age groups. My teaching philosophy emphasizes creativity, performing arts, practicality, self-expression, and personalized learning. I believe in engaging students through interactive lessons and practical applications to give you the skills you need to play your favorite songs, write your own music, and perform live. Many of my students have went from no experience to confidently performing advanced songs in a live setting within as little as six months.

I believe in a practical approach to teaching. Everything we do and learn is to give you the foundations to perform music, either solo, with a group, or both. I offer a patient, creative approach to teaching guitar and singing to students of all age groups from beginner to intermediate with the goal of giving you the confidence to perform live. I tailor my lessons to each student's interests, making learning enjoyable and engaging. Additionally, I incorporate music notation apps to enhance the learning experience. We will focus on foundational concepts such as technique, chord progressions, voicings, scales, songwriting, and much, much, more to get you ready for the stage.
