Hello my name is Alex and I’m an Elite English and History tutor who specialises in essay writing and exam technique for GCSE and A-Level students who are ambitious about improving their grades. I’ve successfully tutored over 500 lessons and provide tailored feedback and guidance teachers simply don’t have the time to in a fun and interactive style. My English degree from King’s College London has placed me in good stead to tutor students of all levels and requirements and some of my most recent successes include taking a student from a grade 3 to a grade 9 in 6 months! My philosophy is to focus on weaknesses first and build progress and confidence in both English and History so that higher grades can be achieved. My availability generally is 11am-8pm Monday to Friday but I do also work weekends so please feel free to reach out to me so we can discuss a game plan for your child moving forwards. Thank you.

Certainly, in my tailored approach I focus on enhancing students vocabulary, writing skills and confidence in the classroom through explaining things clearly and simply as I take all the guesswork and hassle out for you. My strength lies in knowing the English curriculum inside out and using real exam technique and past papers to guide you in the classroom. I like to keep things lighthearted so we can enjoy our lessons and we’ll focus on progress lesson by lesson. Online tailored learning is best with a tutor to guide you and I’ve recently been there and done it so you’ve got someone who’s current knowledge is up to scratch.
