Richa graduated from Vaish College

Science class overview
My teaching methodology revolves around fundamental understanding, interactive lessons, visual models and real world context to engage students effectively. As a tutor specializing in Earth Science, life science, forces and motion and environmental science, I employ a blend of online and offline tools like interactive simulations, digital resources and educational websites to create engaging and personalized tutoring sessions. Following a dynamic curriculum, I cater to high school students seeking to deepen their knowledge in science subjects. By utilizing a variety of tech tools and student centered approach ,I ensure that students grasp complex concepts, develop critical thinking skills and excel academically in a supportive learning environment. On completion of a topic practice sheets are given which further strengthen the concepts.

School Science concept taught by Richa
The session covered work-rate problems, including scenarios with pumps, alternate work, and workers leaving mid-job. The Student practiced finding LCMs of fractions and applying different methods to solve these problems. The tutor assigned practice problems on work and percentages for the next session.
Work Left In Between
Alternate Work
Simultaneous Work with Multiple Pumps/Workers
Least Common Multiple (LCM) and Highest Common Factor (HCF) of Fractions
The session focused on solving word problems related to work and time, including calculating combined work rates and individual contributions. The student practiced different formulas for solving these problems and worked on simplifying equations. They also discussed plans to review previous material, including times tables, in preparation for the next class.
Work and Efficiency
LCM (Least Common Multiple)
HCF (Highest Common Factor)
Working Together Formula (Two People)
Working Together Formula (Three People)
Conventional Method: Combined Work Problems
Solving for Unknown Variables
Richa tutored Eduardo on percentage increase and decrease, discount calculations, successive discounts, and profit/loss concepts. Eduardo practiced solving problems related to these topics. Richa assigned practice questions and asked Eduardo to memorize times tables up to 15 and review the unit digit concept.
Percentage Increase/Decrease > 100%
Calculating Percentage Change
Discounts
Sequential Discounts
Profit & Loss
Richa assisted Eduardo with percentage-related math problems, covering topics such as percentage increase/decrease, successive percentages, and finding original values after percentage changes. Eduardo practiced translating word problems into equations and simplifying calculations. Richa assigned additional practice problems on percentages for homework and scheduled the next session.
Percentage Reduction
Percentage of a Percentage
Percentage Change Formula
Unitary Method for Percentages
Richa tutored Eduardo on ratios, percentages, and proportions, including conversions between ratios and percentages, solving proportion problems, and calculating percentage increase or decrease. Eduardo practiced solving various problems and will continue practicing the remaining questions. They scheduled another session for Wednesday at the same time.
Proportion
Finding Percentage of a Number
Successive Percentage Change
Percentage to Ratio Conversion
Ratio to Percentage Conversion
Richa tutored Eduardo on scientific notation and ratios, including simplifying expressions and solving word problems. They practiced converting numbers to scientific notation and applying the component and dividend method to solve ratio problems. Richa assigned additional practice questions on algebra.
