The tutor and student practiced reading comprehension and rhetorical analysis skills, focusing on identifying tone, literary devices, and implicit meanings in provided passages. They worked through practice questions from "Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass" and a timed reading exercise for AP English Language preparation, with plans to review remaining questions in the next session.

The tutor and student reviewed the usage of 'there is' and 'there are' for describing items in a room and practiced identifying and using amplifiers. For homework, the student will write ten sentences from a specific point of view using a provided word bank.
