Hi, I’m Blaine! I just graduated from college and am currently in my gap year doing a post-bacc program researching immunology related to cardiovascular disease. I studied biology and chemistry and was a student instructor for tough courses like organic chemistry. I also worked in long-term labs ranging from inorganic to organic chemistry and was involved in genetics, immunology, and chemistry research. These experiences helped me build a deep understanding of science and strong problem-solving skills. I love reading (big Orwell fan), long walks, cooking, shows, and making memories with friends. I know science can feel like a lot sometimes, so I like making it feel manageable, even fun, by connecting big ideas to stuff that actually makes sense. We’ll tackle the tricky parts together, laugh through the chaos, and make sure you leave each session feeling just a little more in control (and a lot less stressed). I’m excited to help you succeed, and still have time for the things you love!

My goal is to build your confidence by teaching you strategies to approach different question types and problem-solving techniques, making sure you not only know the material but can apply it with ease. I also tailor each session to focus on your unique challenges, so we use our time in the most effective way possible. I keep things interactive and relaxed, so learning feels engaging—not overwhelming. I believe learning is a two-way street, so I listen as much as I teach to keep things balanced and productive.
