The student was introduced to guitar chords, starting with E minor, and began learning the riff from "Enter Sandman" to apply chord knowledge. The session included tuning the guitar and practicing specific finger placements for the E minor chord and the riff notes. The tutor recommended practicing the riff and exploring songs that use E minor to reinforce learning.
