About your economics tutor
I'm Nikolas, an experienced finance professional from the United States with a Master's Degree in Applied Economics from the University of Vienna in Austria. I am currently on a career break and have been teaching economics in the meantime. I specialize teaching economics at the High School/AP level, as well as any college-level courses (principals/introductory courses as well as economics electives). I am an enthusiastic teacher and excellent communicator with an expertise in and personal passion for economics. I look forward to helping students with homework, exams, research projects, or any other assignments in their economics courses.

Economics class overview
My teaching style is discussion-based and I frequently use real-world examples to illustrate economic models to keep the content relevant and interesting. I encourage my students to think like an economist, and to focus on mastering the material via intuition and hands-on modeling, rather than through rote memorization of graphs and definitions. I genuinely believe economics can be fun and easy to grasp when taught in this way, and hope to impart my own enthusiasm and curiosity for economics to my students. I look forward to helping students not only master the material, but to apply real-life lessons from economics outside the classroom.
