Architecture Training for SketchUp, Interior Design, and AutoCAD Specialties

The Student and Tutor engaged in a hands-on SketchUp session, focusing on fundamental 3D architectural modeling techniques. The session also covered the use of components for efficient object manipulation, including moving, copying, and mirroring, as well as creating detailed window and arch openings with recessed frames. The Student plans to continue practicing and has scheduled additional sessions.

The Student and Tutor completed a SketchUp assignment focusing on refining an interior design model. They practiced creating, naming, and ordering multiple scenes for an animated walkthrough, and exported both an MP4 video of the animation and several 2D graphic screenshots for submission. The upcoming session will involve utilizing the Enscape plugin for 3D rendering to produce photorealistic views of the model.

Student and Tutor worked on refining a SketchUp architectural model, focusing on correcting object grouping, precise placement, and resolving geometry issues like floor gaps and wall thicknesses. The session involved extensive practice with SketchUp tools for editing components, moving objects along specific axes, and cleaning up extraneous lines. The Student was assigned to add a chandelier and prepare for adding the roof and animation in the next session.

The plan for the next session includes working with a specific architectural plan and the Student getting access to the desktop version of SketchUp.
