"Transform Your English Skills with a Creative & Engaging Tutor"

Hey! I'm Louis, I'm passionate about teaching English and love creating entertaining and interactive lessons for my students. I enjoy getting to know my students to help them feel valued as an individual and not just as a student talking to their teacher- tell me all about yourselves! I love teaching English because it is rewarding for both you and me! I love seeing students feel incredible pride as they improve their abilities and realise their progress! Whether it's understanding English books or films they couldn't before, join conversations they previously avoided, or receive the IELTS band they craved! Either way, I love helping students along their journey and being the bridge towards their goals. I also love seeing students develop a personality in English. I encourage students to show me their interests and express themselves using the skills and language we learn in class. Having genuine chats with my students is truly incredible! This is the most rewarding feature for me and why I love teaching.

As for my methodologies, I make sure to create a supportive environment where you actively look forward to your classes! After all, English should be fun right?! I style my lessons around interactive activities and instructions which help you realise rules yourself. Through examples I help you develop your own understanding of grammar rules or new vocabulary before I provide you with a more polished definition...but I may steal your ideas too! :) after all, some of you may have great ideas! After this, we will work on guided practice to focus on the new content and work our way up to independent practice and of course some authentic, language games! I also enjoy working 1:1 to help you develop your IELTS skills step-by-step! No rush at all :) We will work on the 4 skills and explore key IELTS tips and skills you can use to answer your reading and listening tests more accurately! As well as, we'll do plenty of practise on your speaking and writing, through examples, guided speaking and writing and what I call jigsaw work where we break down each section so that you're more than prepared for that exam! However, I am keen to make you my boss, so if you have any specific requests, let me know! We'll make your classes perfect together!
