Meet Matthew

About your tutor

Hello, I'm Matthew Lee. I specialize in teaching Research Methods and Statistical Data Analysis with SPSS, Excel, Mplus, and R. I have experience teaching and tutoring college students and graduate students. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology and have worked in academia for about 10 years. I also have two years of experience helping students with test preparation for the LSAT. I take a data-driven approach where I analyze students' results from practice tests, identify areas most in need of improvement (e.g., specific question categories like Flaws, Deductions and Inference, Strengthen or Weaken, etc.), and then design training sessions that will efficiently yield rapid improvement. My students often improve their exam scores by 10-15 points.

Teaching methodology

As a Data Analysis and Statistics tutor, I believe in an interactive and supportive teaching approach. I tailor my lessons to meet the needs of college students and adult professionals, focusing on practical skills in SPSS, Microsoft Excel, and statistical modeling. My methodology is adaptable to each student's learning style, making the sessions engaging and effective. I aim to help students analyze complex datasets, preparing them for successful careers in analytics. I also have two years of experience helping students with test preparation for the LSAT.
