Supportive ESL tutor with creative, empathetic strategies

Hi, my name is Christelle and I'm from Connecticut, USA. From as far back as I can remember, I've always had a dream and a passion for teaching others. I would love to be able to pass on knowledge to my students and help them open up many doors to new things. Being able to learn and use knowledge is extremely beneficial, especially when it comes to English as it's one of the most widely used languages in the world now. I've just returned from a two year journey where I was living abroad in Egypt and while being there, I was able to meet and teach many people from different backgrounds. With that opportunity and experience now behind me, I would love to continue my teaching career by teaching virtually. For my students, I know that learning a new language can be life-changing and that is what motivates me to be a teacher. In addition to traveling, I love using many different forms of art to create things as a pass-time.

As an ESL tutor, I specialize in teaching English to School, Adult, and College students. My teaching style is creative, collaborative, empathetic, patient, and supportive. I believe in using e-books with annotations, interactive grammar tools, and multimedia resources for literature analysis to make learning engaging. I assess my students' reading and writing abilities and create a customized plan to help them improve. I carefully select reading materials and writing prompts based on their interests and goals. By tailoring my approach to each individual student, I ensure that they get the support and guidance they need to succeed in learning English.
