Hello! I’m Lu, an experienced and passionate English teacher with a strong background in teaching English as a Second or Other Language. With over five years of experience, I’ve taught learners of all ages and backgrounds, bringing enthusiasm, adaptability, and expertise to every lesson. I hold a Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Liverpool and a CELTA certification from International House London. I am currently pursuing a PGCE in Primary Education at Durham University, further expanding my skills in teaching and classroom management. My teaching experience ranges from leading summer courses at EF Claire College to teaching K-12 students in China. As a full-time ESOL tutor offline and a part-time ESOL tutor on Preply, I have taught students aged 3 to 65 from diverse backgrounds, including Ukraine, Hong Kong, and Germany. I tailor lessons to meet each student's unique needs using communicative teaching methods and differentiated instruction. I focus on creating engaging, student-centred lessons that build confidence and practical language skills. I integrate speaking, reading, writing, and listening activities to ensure well-rounded language development.
