About your tutor
I am Vikramaditya Shah Bundela, an architect specialising in architectural design, conservation, and AI integration. With experience across three firms, I have developed diverse skills, from designing and preserving structures to training AI models for architectural applications. Teaching is a passion of mine—I have mentored students and professionals worldwide, both independently and through an architecture education startup. I am proficient in 11+ design tools, including Revit, SketchUp, Rhino 3d, and Autocad Architecture, Photoshop, InDesign, Lumion, D5 Render, Twinmotion and more. I focus on optimising architectural workflows using AI. My dissertation explored AI-driven design automation, and I continue to push the boundaries of technology in the AEC industry. I know 50+ AI tools and always strive to teach the easiest workflow possible.

Class overview
My teaching methodology is centred around interactive, two-way engagement, where I encourage students to actively participate and share their insights—I often learn from them as well. I believe in project-based learning and teach accordingly. I think that students should learn by doing and not just watching tutorials. I focus on teaching the most efficient and optimised workflows for architectural software, ensuring students gain practical expertise that enhances their professional capabilities. My approach emphasises hands-on learning, catering to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced professionals. I challenge students to push their boundaries, refine their skills, and strive for excellence. Teaching is a continuous learning experience for me, and my passion lies in exploring emerging tools and innovations that shape the future of architectural design.

Architecture concepts taught by Vikramaditya Shah
The Student and Tutor worked on creating site analysis diagrams using Photoshop and an online 3D sun path tool. The Student practiced using Photoshop tools for image editing and diagram creation, and learned to perform sun path analysis for different times of the year. The Student was assigned to create a 3D model of the viaduct for more detailed analysis.

The Student and Tutor focused on developing site analysis diagrams using Google Earth, Photoshop, and AI tools. The Student practiced extracting and annotating site images, creating clipping masks, and using the pen tool for visual representation. They will refine the diagrams based on feedback and explore AI-generated sketches for a more organic feel, with plans to incorporate SketchUp modeling in future sessions.

The tutor instructed the student on advanced AutoCAD commands, specifically focusing on the 'stretch' command for modifying objects and maintaining connections, and the 'mirror' command for creating symmetrical elements. They also practiced using 'excel line' for precise alignment and learned how to format fractions in text.

The Tutor provided an introductory lesson on architectural design software, focusing on AutoCAD and Rayon Design. The Student practiced creating basic floor plans by drawing walls, adding doors and windows, and managing elements using layers. The Tutor assigned the Student to create a complete ground floor plan as practice for the next session.

The Student and Tutor worked on modeling a sloped site using AutoCAD and SketchUp, and then discussed material selection for architectural designs. The Tutor provided guidance on site modeling techniques, suggested appropriate materials like steel and PVC, and directed the Student to resources for further research on architectural materials.

The tutor and student worked on advanced Photoshop techniques for architectural site analysis and collage creation. They practiced creating thematic maps, using AI tools for inspiration, and refining digital assets for presentations, with a plan to continue developing these visual communication skills in future sessions.
