About your tutor
I am Vikramaditya Shah Bundela, an architect specialising in architectural design, conservation, and AI integration. With experience across three firms, I have developed diverse skills, from designing and preserving structures to training AI models for architectural applications. Teaching is a passion of mine—I have mentored students and professionals worldwide, both independently and through an architecture education startup. I am proficient in 11+ design tools, including Revit, SketchUp, Rhino 3d, and Autocad Architecture, Photoshop, InDesign, Lumion, D5 Render, Twinmotion and more. I focus on optimising architectural workflows using AI. My dissertation explored AI-driven design automation, and I continue to push the boundaries of technology in the AEC industry. I know 50+ AI tools and always strive to teach the easiest workflow possible.

Class overview
My teaching methodology is centred around interactive, two-way engagement, where I encourage students to actively participate and share their insights—I often learn from them as well. I believe in project-based learning and teach accordingly. I think that students should learn by doing and not just watching tutorials. I focus on teaching the most efficient and optimised workflows for architectural software, ensuring students gain practical expertise that enhances their professional capabilities. My approach emphasises hands-on learning, catering to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced professionals. I challenge students to push their boundaries, refine their skills, and strive for excellence. Teaching is a continuous learning experience for me, and my passion lies in exploring emerging tools and innovations that shape the future of architectural design.

Editing and Manipulating CAD Objects
CAD Software Interface Customization
The student and tutor worked on refining 3D modeling techniques in SketchUp. They practiced organizing model elements using groups, applying materials and textures, and utilizing tools like Push/Pull, copying, and rotation. Future sessions will cover more advanced topics like rendering and creating 2D drawings.

Applying Materials and Textures in SketchUp
Navigating and Modifying 3D Space: Push/Pull and Movement
Rotation and Object Placement
The session involved brainstorming and refining the design for an adult education center, focusing on spatial arrangement and activity mapping. The student received guidance on using Google Earth Pro and SketchUp to create accurate site models and explore design ideas. Homework includes creating a detailed area program, activity mapping, and developing initial 3D models.

Image Scaling in SketchUp
Space Planning: Area Program
The student and tutor worked on refining 3D models in SketchUp, specifically addressing issues with fragmented geometry imported from Rayon. They practiced techniques for identifying and repairing overlapping edges, utilizing tools like the Weld plugin and understanding line weight settings. The next session will cover a foundational overview of SketchUp tools and concepts.
The Power of Modifier Keys in SketchUp Tools
Softening and Unsmoothing Edges in SketchUp
The Importance of Clean Geometry and Edge Management
Managing Line Weights in 3D Modeling
The student and tutor worked on setting up SketchUp on a new Windows system, reviewing the interface, toolbars, and essential extensions. They focused on understanding and practicing the creation and application of Groups and Components, as well as exploring the organizational tools of the Outliner and Tags for project management. The next session will involve the student starting a new project from scratch with the tutor's guidance.
