About your tutor
I am Vikramaditya Shah Bundela, an architect specialising in architectural design, conservation, and AI integration. With experience across three firms, I have developed diverse skills, from designing and preserving structures to training AI models for architectural applications. Teaching is a passion of mine—I have mentored students and professionals worldwide, both independently and through an architecture education startup. I am proficient in 11+ design tools, including Revit, SketchUp, Rhino 3d, and Autocad Architecture, Photoshop, InDesign, Lumion, D5 Render, Twinmotion and more. I focus on optimising architectural workflows using AI. My dissertation explored AI-driven design automation, and I continue to push the boundaries of technology in the AEC industry. I know 50+ AI tools and always strive to teach the easiest workflow possible.

Class overview
My teaching methodology is centred around interactive, two-way engagement, where I encourage students to actively participate and share their insights—I often learn from them as well. I believe in project-based learning and teach accordingly. I think that students should learn by doing and not just watching tutorials. I focus on teaching the most efficient and optimised workflows for architectural software, ensuring students gain practical expertise that enhances their professional capabilities. My approach emphasises hands-on learning, catering to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced professionals. I challenge students to push their boundaries, refine their skills, and strive for excellence. Teaching is a continuous learning experience for me, and my passion lies in exploring emerging tools and innovations that shape the future of architectural design.

Architecture concept taught by Vikramaditya Shah
The session involved a review of SketchUp techniques for architectural modeling, with a focus on roof design and wall intersection. The student worked on modeling a gym layout, addressing issues with roof geometry and wall trimming. The tutor recommended obtaining detailed architectural drawings and provided resources for sourcing 3D models, and shared that they will follow up with a text outlining what to ask the architect for.
Roof Construction in Parts
Profile-Based Modeling
Sourcing 3D Models and Vendor Communication
Understanding Architectural Drawings
SketchUp's Solid Tools
Solid Groups vs. Regular Groups
Efficient Workflow in SketchUp
The session focused on AutoCAD drawing techniques, including connecting elements, copying between files, correcting misalignments, and redrawing parts of a circuit. The Student practiced using various commands like 'move,' 'copy,' 'Ctrl+C,' and 'Ctrl+V' to modify and refine drawings. They were assigned to practice these techniques to improve their proficiency in AutoCAD.
The MOVE Command and Base Points
Copying Objects Within the Same File (COPY Command)
Copying Objects Between Files (Ctrl+C
Ctrl+V)
Grouping Objects
Using Reference Points and Hovering for Precision
Object Snaps and Precision
Using the TRIM Command
The Student and Tutor worked on exporting Revit models to PDF, focusing on scaling and visual presentation. The Student learned to export sheets, adjust annotation crops, and enhance 3D views in Enscape. The follow-up involves the Student completing the export of remaining sheets and incorporating the renders into their presentation.
Image DPI and File Format for Presentations
Adjusting Sun Position and Lighting in Enscape
Importance of Proper Scaling
Controlling 3D View Appearance
Annotation Crop and Crop Region Visible
Exporting Sheets vs. Views in Revit
The Tutor guided the Student in enhancing a Revit model for submission, including material adjustments, visual style settings, and perspective view creation. Enscape rendering basics were introduced, along with instructions on exporting and preparing sheets for presentation. The Student is to refine the project and send it for review before the next session.
Perspective Views and Camera Placement
Enscape Rendering Fundamentals
Room Tagging and Annotation
Scope Boxes and Hiding Elements
Material Editing in Revit
Visual Styles and Graphic Display Options
View Templates for Consistency
The session covered SketchUp's basic tools, navigation, and object manipulation. The Student learned about drawing lines, rectangles, circles, and arcs with specified dimensions, as well as the crucial differences between groups and components. The Student will practice using these tools and experiment with cubes before attempting more complex designs.
Entering Dimensions Accurately
Copying Objects: Move Tool with Control Key
Understanding Tags (Layers)
Groups vs. Components: Packaging Geometry
Using the 'Entity Info' and 'Default Tray'
Basic Drawing Tools: Line
Rectangle
Circle
The student and tutor worked on troubleshooting issues within a SketchUp animation project, including visibility problems and scene transitions. They also covered video editing basics for assembling the animation into a final product and discussed hardware upgrades to improve performance with graphics-intensive applications. The student was given a link to upload videos and assigned to experiment with Clipchamp's features.
