Prangna - About your AP tutor
Mathematics is not everyone cup of coffee and I consider myself to be blessed as I have been teaching this particular subject to students from the last 11-12years. In general, students also Students hesitate in doing this particular subject. Taking about my qualification, I have done Bachelors in Non-medical and masters in mathematics from a renowned university. I have great interest in science, especially mathematics as it is all about dealing with numbers. Professionally I have taught in a college as an Associate professor and currently working as a freelancer tutor, helping students in making them understand different concepts of mathematics, clearing their doubts. So far, I am making all the possible efforts to increase students inclination towards mathematics

Teaching methodology
Mathematics is not a theoretical subject, so sometimes I make use of power point presentations and videos to explain a particular concept. As I believe visuals have more impactful, and this aid in better understanding than listening. Moreover, I plan my sessions keeping in mind a student's requirements and targets. Some students require more practise and more attention towards certain topics, so sessions are planned according to their pace. My priority is to have an interactive session in which a student asks multiple questions , clears one’s doubts . This ensures that pupil is able to understand in a better way. Also, I make sure that a student gets proper attention and is willing to learn more. My main teaching methodology is to increase students inclination towards this subject and remove their fear of mathematics. Apart from this, I am also helping students in completing their assignments and homework. They are able to complete their work assessments within the given time period

AP concepts taught by Prangna
The tutor and student reviewed mathematical concepts including the order of operations using the 'Mom, Dad and Sister' mnemonic, and practiced calculating squares and cubes. They also worked on geometry problems involving perimeter and area, and the student successfully applied formulas for squares and rectangles. The next session will involve the tutor creating a story-based math problem for the student.
Order of Operations (PEMDAS/BODMAS)
Squares and Cubes
Area and Perimeter of Geometric Shapes
Decimal Multiplication
The student and tutor worked on creating color-based patterns and assigning percentages, then transitioned to solving algebraic equations involving single variables. They also practiced arithmetic operations through puzzles and concluded with subtraction problems and a collaborative puzzle-creation activity, with homework assigned on multiplication and subtraction.
Pattern Creation and Rule Definition
Color Proportions and Percentages
Algebraic Equation Solving
Puzzle Solving with Number Patterns
The Tutor and Student reviewed various concepts in vector algebra, including vector addition, subtraction, scalar multiplication, dot products, and finding angles between vectors. They also practiced calculating areas of triangles using vector methods and applied trigonometric laws like the Law of Sines and Heron's formula for triangle properties. The session concluded with an introduction to parametric equations in projectile motion and polar coordinates.
