Prangna - About your AP tutor
Mathematics is not everyone cup of coffee and I consider myself to be blessed as I have been teaching this particular subject to students from the last 11-12years. In general, students also Students hesitate in doing this particular subject. Taking about my qualification, I have done Bachelors in Non-medical and masters in mathematics from a renowned university. I have great interest in science, especially mathematics as it is all about dealing with numbers. Professionally I have taught in a college as an Associate professor and currently working as a freelancer tutor, helping students in making them understand different concepts of mathematics, clearing their doubts. So far, I am making all the possible efforts to increase students inclination towards mathematics

Teaching methodology
Mathematics is not a theoretical subject, so sometimes I make use of power point presentations and videos to explain a particular concept. As I believe visuals have more impactful, and this aid in better understanding than listening. Moreover, I plan my sessions keeping in mind a student's requirements and targets. Some students require more practise and more attention towards certain topics, so sessions are planned according to their pace. My priority is to have an interactive session in which a student asks multiple questions , clears one’s doubts . This ensures that pupil is able to understand in a better way. Also, I make sure that a student gets proper attention and is willing to learn more. My main teaching methodology is to increase students inclination towards this subject and remove their fear of mathematics. Apart from this, I am also helping students in completing their assignments and homework. They are able to complete their work assessments within the given time period

AP concepts taught by Prangna
The Student and Tutor reviewed fundamental trigonometry concepts, including the ranges of trigonometric functions, unit circle values, and conversions between degrees and radians. They practiced solving right-angled triangle problems using the Pythagorean theorem and inverse trigonometric functions to find unknown angles and sides, with a focus on applying these concepts to roof pitch calculations.
Trigonometric Functions: Sine
Cosine
Tangent
Unit Circle and Trigonometric Values
Inverse Trigonometric Functions
Pythagorean Theorem
The Tutor and Student reviewed graphing and transformations of trigonometric functions, including sine, cosine, secant, and cosecant. They practiced identifying how changes in amplitude, period, and shifts affect the graphs. The session also covered the relationship between trigonometric functions and their reciprocals, and the graphs of tangent and cotangent.
Graphing Tangent and Cotangent Functions
Graphing Reciprocal Trigonometric Functions: Secant and Cosecant
Transformations: Horizontal and Vertical Shifts
Graphing Trigonometric Functions: Sine and Cosine Basics
Modifying Trigonometric Graphs: Amplitude and Period
The Tutor and Student reviewed fundamental calculus concepts, including basic differentiation rules, the power rule, chain rule, and product rule. They practiced these concepts through various examples involving algebraic expressions, roots, and trigonometric functions, and planned to continue with homework and practice sessions.
Derivative of a Constant
Power Rule for Derivatives
Handling Denominators and Roots
The Chain Rule
Product Rule
The tutor and student worked through various problems related to solving linear equations and inequalities. The student practiced isolating variables and applying rules for manipulating equations, including those with negative terms and parentheses. They also began to understand how to represent solutions to inequalities on a number line.
Solving Linear Equations: Isolating the Variable
Understanding Inequalities and Number Lines
Order of Operations in Equations
The tutor and student reviewed basic trigonometric function reciprocals and their relationships. They then progressed to understanding and plotting the graphs of sine, cosine, secant, and cosecant functions, including how to modify them for changes in period. The next session is planned to cover phase shifts and other advanced graphing concepts.
