Prangna - About your AP tutor
Mathematics is not everyone cup of coffee and I consider myself to be blessed as I have been teaching this particular subject to students from the last 11-12years. In general, students also Students hesitate in doing this particular subject. Taking about my qualification, I have done Bachelors in Non-medical and masters in mathematics from a renowned university. I have great interest in science, especially mathematics as it is all about dealing with numbers. Professionally I have taught in a college as an Associate professor and currently working as a freelancer tutor, helping students in making them understand different concepts of mathematics, clearing their doubts. So far, I am making all the possible efforts to increase students inclination towards mathematics

Teaching methodology
Mathematics is not a theoretical subject, so sometimes I make use of power point presentations and videos to explain a particular concept. As I believe visuals have more impactful, and this aid in better understanding than listening. Moreover, I plan my sessions keeping in mind a student's requirements and targets. Some students require more practise and more attention towards certain topics, so sessions are planned according to their pace. My priority is to have an interactive session in which a student asks multiple questions , clears one’s doubts . This ensures that pupil is able to understand in a better way. Also, I make sure that a student gets proper attention and is willing to learn more. My main teaching methodology is to increase students inclination towards this subject and remove their fear of mathematics. Apart from this, I am also helping students in completing their assignments and homework. They are able to complete their work assessments within the given time period

Distributive Property
Combining Like Terms
Checking for Factors Using the Remainder Theorem
Pascal's Triangle and Binomial Theorem
The Student reviewed the rules of multiplying and dividing variables with exponents. The Student also practiced simplifying expressions by combining like terms after distributing signs and was introduced to factorization by extracting common numerical factors. The Tutor scheduled the next session for Tuesday afternoon.
Multiplying Variables with Exponents
Dividing Variables with Exponents
Combining Like Terms
Multiplying Terms with Coefficients and Variables
Distributive Property with Negative Signs
Factoring Out Common Factors
The Student and Tutor reviewed polynomial multiplication, exponents, additive inverses, multiplicative inverses, and order of operations (PEMDAS). The Student practiced simplifying expressions and identifying additive and multiplicative inverses. Homework was assigned from the student's study guide, focusing on specific problems related to the topics covered in class.

Multiplicative Inverse
Additive Inverse
PEMDAS Order of Operations
Dividing Variables with Exponents
Multiplying Variables with Exponents
Combining Like Terms
The Student and Tutor practiced finding all the roots of polynomial equations using the Rational Root Theorem and synthetic division. The student worked through several examples, including polynomials with multiplicities, and received guidance on efficient problem-solving techniques. The next session is scheduled for Sunday to continue working on similar problems.
Solving Quadratic Equations After Synthetic Division
Multiplicity of Roots
Splitting the Middle Term (Factoring Quadratics)
Finding Roots Using Synthetic Division
Synthetic Division
Rational Root Theorem (Finding Potential Roots)
The session focused on distributive property in algebraic expressions, emphasizing the impact of negative signs. The Student practiced simplifying expressions and reviewed homework problems. The Tutor recommended more frequent, shorter sessions to reinforce these concepts.
Distributive Property
Applying the Distributive Property
Distributive Property with Negatives
Simplifying Expressions After Distribution
Fractions and the Distributive Property
The Student reviewed properties of logarithms and practiced solving various logarithmic and exponential equations, including expanding/condensing expressions and solving systems of equations with quadratic elements. They focused on applying logarithmic properties, factoring techniques, and checking for extraneous solutions. The tutor assigned remaining questions from the problem set for the student to complete.
