Prangna - About your AP tutor
Mathematics is not everyone cup of coffee and I consider myself to be blessed as I have been teaching this particular subject to students from the last 11-12years. In general, students also Students hesitate in doing this particular subject. Taking about my qualification, I have done Bachelors in Non-medical and masters in mathematics from a renowned university. I have great interest in science, especially mathematics as it is all about dealing with numbers. Professionally I have taught in a college as an Associate professor and currently working as a freelancer tutor, helping students in making them understand different concepts of mathematics, clearing their doubts. So far, I am making all the possible efforts to increase students inclination towards mathematics

Teaching methodology
Mathematics is not a theoretical subject, so sometimes I make use of power point presentations and videos to explain a particular concept. As I believe visuals have more impactful, and this aid in better understanding than listening. Moreover, I plan my sessions keeping in mind a student's requirements and targets. Some students require more practise and more attention towards certain topics, so sessions are planned according to their pace. My priority is to have an interactive session in which a student asks multiple questions , clears one’s doubts . This ensures that pupil is able to understand in a better way. Also, I make sure that a student gets proper attention and is willing to learn more. My main teaching methodology is to increase students inclination towards this subject and remove their fear of mathematics. Apart from this, I am also helping students in completing their assignments and homework. They are able to complete their work assessments within the given time period

AP concepts taught by Prangna
Law of Sines
The Ambiguous Case (SSA)
Area of a Triangle
Law of Cosines
The Student and Tutor reviewed fundamental vector concepts including definition, notation, addition, subtraction, scalar multiplication, and the dot product. They practiced solving problems related to these operations and determining vector orthogonality, with plans to cover the Law of Sines and Cosines in the next session.
Vector Definition
Vector Representation and Operations
Vector from Initial and Terminal Points
Dot Product
Orthogonal Vectors
Angle Between Vectors
The tutor and student reviewed geometric concepts including types of lines (parallel, intersecting, perpendicular) and angles (acute, obtuse, right, straight, complete). They practiced identifying these in alphabets and then transitioned to a game involving fractions to find missing values that sum to one.
Types of Lines
Types of Angles
Angle Measurement and Relationships
Applying Geometry to Alphabet
The student and tutor reviewed quadratic equations, focusing on calculating the discriminant to determine the nature of the roots and practicing how to plot quadratic equations by calculating points and sketching parabolas. The student worked through various examples for both discriminant calculation and graph plotting.
Vertex and Axis of Symmetry
Identifying Quadratic Solutions from Graphs
Graphing Quadratic Equations
The Discriminant
The Tutor and Student explored the concepts of scalars and vectors, their representation, and operations including the dot product and modulus calculation. They practiced finding the angle between vectors, determining orthogonality, and calculating vector projections using specific formulas and examples. The next steps would involve continuing with related topics and problems.
Dot Product of Vectors
Vector Projection
Angle Between Vectors
Magnitude of a Vector
Scalar vs. Vector
Vector Representation in 2D and 3D
The tutor and student reviewed key calculus concepts including derivatives and anti-derivatives. They practiced differentiating various function types and integrating functions using different methods like u-substitution and integration by parts. The session served as a final review before the student's exams.
